To carry out a full renovation of this remarkable period rectory, keeping as many of the original features as possible, whilst creating a comfortable, somewhat luxurious and yet, highly efficient home.
The owners of the property are both creative and extremely interesting individuals and, as such, wanted to create a home that accurately reflected their interests and passions: a place finished to a high level of quality, comfort and luxury. And most importantly, adhering to the agreed timeline of – commence March, complete at Christmas the same year.
After an initial survey and several consultations with National Heritage and local planners, MMA were able to provide the client with a comprehensive project management plan that included design, total refurbishment and re-build of this stunning Grade II Listed building. Our solution had to take into consideration the age and integrity of the building, ensuring that every feature was enhanced and brought back to life whilst providing a fabulous finish in all areas.
The heritage of the property has been respected and the result is a beautifully finished home, unique and completed to an exceptional standard. Very happy clients who are now enjoying living in this incredible space, safe in the knowledge that no further works will be needed for a very long time.
The most fabulous thing about MMA is the projects we are lucky enough to get to work on and the clients’ faith in our expertise, which is so gratifying to experience.
This house is full of unique and historically important elements, and my abiding memory of working here was the level of detail applied to the staircase in the main hall. A discovery of absolute craftsmanship, you could feel the hands that had created it and I know our respect for their artisan abilities has ensured it will be admired and enjoyed for many more years to come.
Mike is the business – extremely can-do, nothing is ever a problem
